Who we are
We are a group of women breaking free from the societal norms that have determined how we express ourselves as Black women and girls, how we get to heal as an individual and as a group! We are now choosing to heal ourselves first and saving the world second! We are tired of suffering in silence while everyone else reaps the benefits. We are kicking generational, emotional, physical, and mental traumas ass! We do this through our clothing lines & wellness retreats.
What we do
We empower Black women and girls to confidently & comfortably express themselves in a positive way through our curated statement t-shirts. We encourage them to unlearn all of the societal norms that pressure us to hold everything in, be a strong black woman, carry the pain of the world, and do it with a smile. At our wellness retreats & events we are here to show you that, YOU are not alone my sista! Let's heal together.

As the visionary behind Black Girl Hug Bold Statement Wear, born amid the challenges of the pandemic, I, Tangia Seward, found comfort in creating a platform that resonates with the struggles and triumphs of Black women. Fueled by a desire to combat isolation and address social injustices, I birthed a movement to give Black women a voice, foster understanding, and cultivate enduring connections.
In addition to my commitment to statement wear & curating wellness retreats focused on mental health and self care, I am also the Founder of the 'Black Girl Business Accelerator,' a vibrant, private Facebook community dedicated to providing Black women entrepreneurs with education and valuable resources—free of charge.
My mission extends beyond apparel; I am dedicated to curating an experience for Black women, fostering a positive shift in mindset, and facilitating business growth through actionable steps, all while nurturing confidence. By sharing my business and personal growth insights, I've inspired thousands of women, transforming what began as a hobby into a formidable and influential brand. Together, we celebrate the strength, beauty, and resilience of Black women, embracing a community that uplifts, educates, and empowers!
